Dreaming Up Great Plans

If you’re going to build a house, you’ve got to have blueprints. And if you want to achieve something in your life, you’ve got to have blueprints for that too! It may seem like a “no-brainer” – but it’s surprising how many of us are going through life without a well-defined set of “plans.” It’s been observed that many people spend more time planning a vacation than they do planning their lives.

Success – or the realization of a dream – begins with something that one of the premier thought leaders of our time, Mary Morrissey, refers to as “Blueprinting.”

You’ve got to first have the “plans” before you can have the “thing.”

Your success blueprint doesn’t have to be complicated – and don’t let your blueprint be determined by what you think you can have given your age, income, or circumstances. The “how” part comes later. Just choose something that makes you feel alive. You’ll know if it’s the right blueprint by how it makes you feel. You will feel expansive, and perhaps a little terrified, but ultimately in your heart you know it is something you would truly love to be, do or have.

Of course, there are other steps that will need to take place on the way to realizing your dream, but it starts first with a great blueprint…

So take a moment right now to ask yourself that magic question: “What is it I would truly LOVE?…” and then listen for the answer. Start drawing up the “plans.” Spend some time with it and fill in some specificity. The better defined the plans are, the better the end result is going to be – whether it’s a house or a dream.

Because ultimately it comes down to a law of physics…when you can see your blueprint clearly in your mind, you will eventually hold it in your hands.

Here’s to dreaming up great plans!
