How wonderful would it be to do something so simple, yet so love filled, it inspires others to do the same!
It’s easy for us to get caught up in the thinking that our simple act of kindness is too small to really make any kind of difference. Maybe the gesture won’t even be noticed, so we think it isn’t “good enough.” Or maybe we feel like we SHOULD be doing it, so now it isn’t feeling very “heart-felt.”
But don’t underestimate the impact a seemingly small act of kindness can have in someone else’s life, and in your own!
Just think back to the experience of being on the receiving end of a small gesture of kindness. Isn’t it true that it really was the love behind it that mattered and not the deed?
So today, let’s focus on the actual act of “doing something small” with great love…
How about holding the elevator door open for someone you see approaching? Or purchasing a coffee for the person behind you? Picking up a piece of trash? Letting someone go ahead of you in line? Smiling at someone down the street? Taking someone’s grocery cart back to the cart storage area? Or even sending a short message like this to someone just to let them know they matter to you?
All these simple actions are small in the grand scheme of life. But there is no need to worry about WHAT act it is you are doing. As long as your INTENTIONS are to show love without receiving something in return, you can’t go wrong!
And just watch how much joy your small act performed with great love will bring to your day!
